Update of Building closure and Worship opportunities

Dear Epiphany Family-

The Epiphany congregation has found creative ways to worship and learn as we continue to faithfully protect the most vulnerable members of our community.

At this time the Epiphany church building is open for limited access. Pastor Myers will do a majority of his work from home, but essential small groups of less than ten including church council and the Star Light Early Learning Center board will be utilizing the building while following physical distancing and department of health guidelines.  At this time, we have not reopened the building to outside groups.  The church council asks those who enter the building to use masks and hand sanitizer when entering the building.  It is best to bring your own mask from home, but if you do not have one, a bin with masks will be available as you enter through the center doors.  We ask that you return the mask to the used mask bin so that they can be washed and sanitized.

Following department of health recommendations, we will not be returning to indoor worship at this time.  We will be offering Parking Lot Worship on Sunday mornings at 9 am.  Directions for worship will be given as you arrive.  For the safety of yourself and the vulnerable in our community we ask that you remain in your cars with the windows up during the worship experience.  We will also continue to offer prayer and reflection on our Facebook page and the Epiphany webpage.

Star Light Early Learning Center remains open.  The program has moved to the community room to allow for physical distancing of our students.  Staff is wearing masks to help protect our students.

If our congregation experiences a death during this time, we will continue to follow best practices as developed by similar faith communities.  If appropriate, we will offer a funeral restricted to family members only, no meals will be served.  At a later date we will offer memorial services for the public to attend.

As always, Pastor Myers is available through his cell phone (507-440-4503) if you have a pastoral concern.

Your leaders will continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health, state and county agencies.  We ask that you continue your prayers for our leaders and all those who are affected by this health crisis.  Above all, we invite you to be God’s presence to those who are experiencing this as a fearful time, be kind and generous.  Remember the promise of your baptism and God’s love for you.
